Dindigul: Prathamesh Sunil Mokhal of Maharashtra won the 45th National ‘B’ Chess Championship on Wednesday. Mokhal, who finished on 9.5 points with four others — Adhiban B (Tamil Nadu), Rathnakaran K (Railways), Venkatesh MR (PSPB) and Sundararajan Kidambi (PSPB) — was declared winner on the basis of progressive score.

WGM Nisha Mohota of PSPB beat P.S. Nikhil of Tamil Nadu to finish 14th with nine points.
