Calcutta: Virat Kohli may have his focus entirely on the Indian team's tough tour of Australia, but the Test skipper doesn't miss any major sporting action his country is involved in.

On Sunday, after India lifted their seventh SAFF Cup title beating Afghanistan in the final, Kohli sent out a congratulatory message to the team, with a special mention of India captain Sunil Chetri who scored the winning goal in extra-time.

Kohli's love for football is well known as he can be seen kicking the ball with a kid's joy in warm-up sessions and also has stake in Indian Super League (ISL) franchise FC Goa besides being the co-owner of International Premier Tennis League franchise UAE Royals.

"Congratulations Team India for lifting the SAFF Cup for the seventh time. That extra-time winner from @chetrisunil11 was mindblowing! #INDvAFG," the Test captain tweeted soon after India's win.

Seeing a famous tweet notification on his smart phone, Chetri was quick to respond to Kohli: "Thank you skipper, I'm certain our boys won't need any extra-time to get the job done in Australia. All the very best," India's football hero replied.

India scripted a stellar come-from-behind victory against the defending champions Afghanistan with goals from Jeje and Chetri.
