England reached 98/2 at stumps on Day II of the final Test after James Anderson took six wickets to help bowl Sri Lanka out for 381.

Joe Root (67 batting) and Jonny Bairstow (24 batting) will resume England’s innings on Day II.

Lanka left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya (2/33) bagged the wickets of openers Dom Sibley (0) and Zak Crawley (5) for the third time in a row.

Vinothen John, a right-arm medium fast bowler, is the only other Lankan who boasts of such a record as he had dismissed New Zealand openers Geoff Howarth and John Wright in 3 consecutive innings in 1984.
