Calcutta: Kuldeep Yadav is not willing to give much importance to Tuesday's convincing victory over Rajasthan Royals at the Eden.

For him, target No.1 is to make the play-offs and Kolkata Knight Riders still need to win their remaining league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad to make the grade.

"We have to win the next match. There's no other way out... Only then can we qualify and we are aware of it. Our job is far from over," said the Man of the Match.

For Kuldeep, who finished with figures of 4-0-20-4, the performance was special since it came in front of his idol Shane Warne. The legendary leg-spinner is the mentor of Royals.

"I've always been a fan of Warne... He's my idol. It was a great motivation to perform in front of him. I always wanted to do well in front of him... Today I had the opportunity. We spoke for a while... The England series is coming up and so, we did talk a bit... There wasn't much time since he had to leave," said the wrist spinner.

Kuldeep said that Ajinkya Rahane's wicket was important. "They were 76 for one then... They were going great guns. Getting Rahane was important then as it came in my first over...

"It gave me the confidence. Then I dismissed Jos Buttler in my next over. We all know how dangerous a player he can be... So, it put them on the back foot," said Kuldeep.

He doesn't think he did anything different from the previous matches. "I didn't do anything different... I think my mindset was slightly different since I was trying to stop runs.

"Picking wickets has always been my strength and so, I decided to focus on that. Once the wickets fell the pressure mounted on the batsmen and that led to the collapse," Kuldeep remarked.

"It was pressure time for me. I was just thinking about taking a wicket. Buttler was a set player, he was playing tremendously and I really wanted to get him. You have to motivate yourself, you have to think about your strengths, stick to your basics. Not try too much.

"That's what I try to did. This is T20, so you have to keep changing some things. I knew Buttler would reverse-sweep, so I bowled a quicker one. You have to plan for every batsman. Sometimes it goes in your way, sometimes it doesn't.

"Buttler's wicket obviously gave me the most satisfaction. Had he been around for some more time, he could have gone berserk."

Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik praised Kuldeep's performance. "He's an international quality player, he's one of the best chinaman bowlers right now. And all I have to do is make sure he is turned on.

"Sometimes he slacks off, bowls a bad ball, trying too much... So, I'm just trying to make him do as well as he can and stay consistent," said Karthik.

Karthik felt the team showed character after the Royals made a terrific start to their innings. "They started off brilliantly, but it shows our character. When we got a chance in the game, we didn't let it go."

Chris Lynn, who made 45 off 42 balls, said he wanted to stay till the end. "The only way we would've let Rajasthan Royals back in the game was by losing wickets, so I wanted to bat through and make sure that didn't happen," Lynn said.
