A lot has already been said about the wonder mare Juliette who is on a mission — a hat trick of Invitational wins. However, it is not going to be easy for the ageing Juliette this time, in the HPSL Indian Turf Invitation Cup here on Sunday. It is so because of the emergence of a bright and tough four-year-old filly, Jamari (Tevor Patel) from Pesi Shroff’s stable.

Jamari had caught the attention during the Bangalore summer Derby, that she had won by seven long lengths. She followed it up in rest of Classic apprearances through the winter. Well rested since, she comes to the City of Joy to enthrall the sports loving fraternity.

Jamari may also find the RCTC track tailor-made to her liking. On the other hand, the short home straight may add to the woes of Juliette. The Narredus’ pair of Synthesis (Suraj) and Champions Way (Yash), may also try to make things difficult for Jamari, right from the flag fall but the likes of Trevors are competent enough to foil such game-plans.
