Ayush Dharewa and Arcopravo Rakshit set up the summit clash in boys’ under-18 singles category of the Bumchums Calcutta Hardcourt Tennis Meet at South Club. In the semi-finals on Saturday, Ayush struggled to get past Prem Singh. The latter suffered cramps during the second set and eventually conceded the match when he was trailing 6-3, 6-7 (6-8), 2-4.
Second-seeded Arcopravo also had to stretch himself before overcoming fourth seeded Harshvardhan Thirani 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Krittwika Sinha Roy and Priyanka Saha will vie for top honours in both girls and women’s categories of the Excelsiors Club-organised table tennis meet, being held at YMCA, college branch.
