East Bengal’s new signing Victor Vazquez said joining the club was “an easy decision” for him.
Vazquez, who played for Spanish giants Barcelona alongside Lionel Messi, was signed by East Bengal during the January transfer window.

“It’s a new challenge and I am ready for it. I have played in MLS. But it’s a different challenge. I knew (coach) Carles (Cuadrat) for a long time. East Bengal are doing well and it was an easy decision for me to say ‘I am coming’,” Vazquez said during a media conference on Thursday.
The Kalinga Super Cup champions travel to Guwahati to play the ISL-X match against NorthEast United FC scheduled for Saturday. East Bengal, with 12 points from 11 matches, are now ninth in the ISL table.
