England beats Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in second ODI

England cantered to an eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in the second ODI at The Oval on Thursday. With this win, they also sealed the 3-match series, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. After restricting the visitors to 241, England romped home with seven overs to spare.

Brief scores: Sri Lanka 241/9 in 50 ovs (D. De Silva 91; S. Curran 5/48). England 244/2 in 43 ovs (J. Root 68 n.o., E. Morgan 75 n.o.). England won by 8 wickets.
