Calcutta: Brazilian Carlos Roberto Da Pereira was appointed East Bengal coach on Monday.

The 60-year-old, who earlier coached Vasco da Gama and other clubs in Qatar and the UAE, is expected to arrive in the city on Friday. Pareira was also in charge of the Singapore national team between 1996 and 1998.

The club also announced Tarun Dey will be the manager (technical), while Bikash Panji would continue as the assistant coach.
