Calcutta: Digvijay Singh got a great boost on the eve of the Rs 20 lakh Tata Open golf tournament as he helped his team to a fine win in the Pro-Am event at the Beldih and Golmuri Golf Clubs in Jamshedpur on Monday.
According to information received here, Digvijay’s amateur teammates in the four-ball were Govind Atwal, brother of Arjun Atwal, Ravi Parikh, who also emerged as the best amateur of the day, and S. Sabharwal.
They tallied 84 points and edged out the team led by professional Ranjit Singh on a countback.
