Ajaz Patel gets verified on Twitter, thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin

Ajaz Patel did not win the Man of the Match award in the Wankhede Test despite ticking most of the boxes as a bowler, but at the end of it all, he at least got the gift of a ‘blue tick’ to show for his achievement. And Ravichandran Ashwin played the prompter for that.

After New Zealand lost the Test by 372 runs, Ashwin tweeted tagging Twitter Verified that the Black Caps spinner deserved a “verified” account. “Dear @verified , a ten wicket bag in an innings definitely deserves to be verified here!”, Ashwin wrote.

Twitter responded positively to that by adding the much sought-after ‘blue tick’ to the left-arm spinner’s account.
