Calcutta: An inconsistent Chirag United will take on a confident ONGC side in a 24th round I-League match at the Sahu Maharaj ground on Friday.
Chirag did not have a smooth run in the tournament so far, but remains capable of turning the tide on many an opponent. Presently placed at 8th in the table with 26 points from 22 matches, coach Subrata Bhattacharya’s team will, however, be without midfielder Sandeep Sangha who has been hospitalised.
“There has been a decrease in his WBC counts,” Bhattacharya said.
“But it won’t affect us much as his replacement Bhola Prasad knows what is expected of him.
