New Delhi: Twenty two-year-old Subhasish Bose learnt football from his father in Garia, Calcutta, but the lanky defender has already earned the reputation of being the journeyman of Indian football.

Having graduated to the senior grade only in 2016, Subhasish has already played for four top teams, the latest being Mumbai City FC in the current season. He started with Sporting Clube de Goa, then moved to Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC and never stayed anywhere for more than one season.

"I am a Calcutta boy. I grew up there. I do want to play for Mohun Bagan or East Bengal, but not till they play in the ISL. There is not much gain in playing in the I-League," said Subhasish, currently the left wing-back of the Indian team.

"Things are better in ISL. You get to learn a lot from foreign coaches and top foreign players around you. I have learnt what the professional attitude is, what to eat and drink and so many other things," Subhasish said.
