New Delhi: The all-powerful executive committee of the Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to suspend its president Sneh Bansal on “allegations of misappropriation and siphoning off funds”.
Stripped off his powers, Bansal, who is also a BCCI vice-president, has decided to move court.
Bansal has moved court terming that it is an “illegal resolution passed by some of the executive members led by Ravinder Manchanda and Chetan Chauhan, whereby the elected president and general secretary of the DDCA were illegally stripped of their powers in violation of the Company law and also the Memorandum of the DDCA.”
“We have decided that we will be locking Sneh Bansal’s cabin at the Kotla and also be taking a decision on whether to disband his DDCA membership. He won’t be allowed to enter the office premises,” Chauhan told the media.
Treasurer Manchanda told reporters: “The report that has been tabled by the fact finding committee of the DDCA has found out that on January 30th, an amount of Rs 53 lakh was transferred through RTGS to Maple Infratech.
“When we further tracked, it was found that the same money next day was transferred to one Ratan Industries. Now Ratan Industries is Mr Sneh Bansal’s own company”.
