New Delhi, March 1 :     Three players from Bengal?s sub-junior football team have impressed Tata Football Academy?s (TFA) talent-spotter Mohammed Habib. The trio, defenders Palash Karmarkar and Amjad Ali Khan and midfielder Avinash Thapa will join the TFA next season. Habib has also recommended players from Mizoram, Assam and Tamil Nadu. Ace striker L.V. Luaia from Mizoram, the ongoing national sub-juior tournament?s top scorer with 13 goals, impressed Habib with his pace and scoring ability. Luaia, from Aizwal, will join the TFA next season. Tamil Nadu skipper and goalkeeper V. P. Satish Kumar and Assam?s attacking midfielder L. Akbar Singh and striker Sanjeeva Rongpi are the other players recommended for inclusion in the TFA. Bengal?s Palash Karmakar is already a sub-junior international. He represented India in the eighth Asian sub-junior preliminary league group phase matches in Hyderabad in July last year. Palash plays for Taltolla Dipti Sangha in the Calcutta league and Bengal?s coach Ananta Ghosh rates his temperament and anticipation very highly. Palash can function both as a central defender and a defensive medio. The other stopper back chosen from Bengal, Amjad Ali Khan, learnt his football at the Calcutta Football Club (CFC). Amjad?s left-footed tackles, clearances and positional play have been sound. Amjad and Palash have impressed throughout the tournament and because of them Bengal are yet to concede a goal in this tournament. Midfielder Avinash Thapa plays for Bhratri Sangha in the Calcutta league. He is of Nepalese descent and his father works in the Nepal consulate in Calcutta. Avinash was off-colour in the preliminary league phase and was often substituted. However, Habib felt he had enough potential.
