However, performance of Sage Valley, a three-year-old, lined up in the lower division of the 1,100m Bold Chieftan Plate, may also interest most as the youngster had failed as a favourite in the Indian Produce Stakes on the New Year’s Day.

In the mean while, the mighty youngster, Be Safe, in Mumbai, on Sunday, also failed to deliver the goods. The piping hot-favourite went down fighting to trainer Cooji Katrak’s Shivalik Storm, in the 1,400m Poonawalla Breeders’ Multi-Million, the richest race in the country for juveniles.
