Bhubaneswar, Sept. 18: The state capital is all set to host the 2013 International Youth Fellowship World Camp from 22nd to 24th this month.

The three-day camp will see participation from students of 10 countries, including South Korea, Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Czech Republic and France.

The event will feature a host of activities, including international symposiums, guest lecturers, cultural performances, sports activities, classical music and orchestra.

Aimed to promote the value of ‘one world one community’, the world camp will help students inculcate comprehensive global outlook through various cultural events, said the organisers.

“It will help build the next generation leaders through international exchange said Kim Son Yeon, director (India) IYF.

The event will be held on the KIIT University campus and will be inaugurated by governor S.C. Jamir.

Last year, the event was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

Similarly, students in the state will get an opportunity to participate in the Formula racing car designing event.

Apart from the International Youth Fellowship World Camp, the KIIT campus will also witness a two-day festival of the Virtual Supra SAEINDIA (Society of Automotive Engineers of India) 2013. The two-day event that will start on September 20 will see participation of more than 1,000 students from 174 engineering colleges across the country. The participants will display their designs of Formula One cars.

Experts from leading automobile companies will judge the event. Three best Formula One designs will be selected and experts will guide the students to build their models.

The selected teams, along with their models will take part in the final round in Chennei on June 2014, said Priya Gunashekhar of SAEINDIA.
