Threat by engineers
Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Diploma Engineers’ Association have threatened to go on a statewide agitation if its demands are not met by end of this month. Nirmal Swain, the president of the association said he would submit a memorandum to the chief minister.
EOW arrest
Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Odisha crime branch on Thursday arrested a person on the charge of misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs 55 lakh from a government corporation with the help of fake documents. The accused has been identified as Rabindra Nath Jena of Bional village under Jagatsinghpur police
station.

Bribe cuffs
Bhubaneswar: The vigilance department has arrested a junior clerk of mutation section in Jujumura tehsil of Sambalpur district. Saroj Kumar Mirdha was arrested on Thursday for demanding a bribe of Rs 8,000 from Amit Bhengraj, a resident of Baramunda village in Koraput district.
