OJEE results out, 44k clear exam

A total of 44,421 students cleared the Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations (OJEE), the results of which were announced here this morning.

Bhubaneswar, June 4: A total of 44,421 students cleared the Odisha Joint Entrance Examinations (OJEE), the results of which were announced here this morning.

"These students will be eligible to pursue MTech courses in 55 engineering colleges with 3,854 seats in the state," said OJEE chairman Tusharkant Nath.

Employment and technical education and training minister Sanjay Das Burma announced the results at the secretariat.

As many as 3,021 students cleared the entrance for admission into MTech programme. These include 612 students for mechanical engineering, 681 for civil engineering, 465 for computer science engineering, 689 for electrical engineering, 456 for electronics engineering, 36 for environmental engineering, 21 for biotechnology, 10 for industrial engineering, 11 for chemical engineering, 24 for metallurgical engineering, five for plastic engineering and 11 students for textile engineering.

As many as 6,481 students also cleared the entrance test for admission into the 5,535 MBA seats in 12 government and 59 MBA colleges in the state. Students can see their rank from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in and www.odishajee.com after 11.30am, said an official.

While Kamakhya Prasad Jena topped in the MBA discipline, Lambodar Samal came first in MTech and Bichitra Pradhan in the MCA exams. Counselling for the admission process would begin from June 16.

In another major development, the OJEE for BTech will be held shortly, said the official. A total of 46,166 students had appeared for the OJEE at 78 centres in 19 towns and cities across the state on May 10.

Das Burma also announced that there would be e-evaluation for all BPUT (Biju Patnaik University of Technology) papers from the next year.

Subsequently, the entire OJEE process will be made online, Das Burma said.
