CBSE results today SBI branch Protest Suicide bid Five hurt Blackbuck

Bhubaneswar: CBSE Class X results will be declared on Thursday at 10 am. Students will be able to see their results online by visiting websites www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in or www.cbse.nic.in or call 011-24300699. They can also find out their results via text message.

SBI branch

Bhubaneswar: Secretary of women and child development Arti Ahuja inaugurated the first all-women branch of the State Bank of India (SBI), at Saheed Nagar market on Wednesday. SBI chief general manager Praveen Gupta said the branch would facilitate woman empowerment through financial inclusion.

Protest

Bhubaneswar: Around 600 people of two rival groups of Kalarahang area on the city outskirts, gheraoed the office of the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) at Vanivihar Square on Wednesday following a dispute over organising a jatra in their locality on Chandan yatra. They left after DCP Nitinjeet Singh assured them that the police officers would meet with the leaders of both parties to find a solution.

Suicide bid

Balasore: A student who had appeared for Plus Two exams suffered burn injuries after she attempted suicide by pouring kerosene on herself soon after the declaration of results on Wednesday. Lijjarani Majhi of Bishnupur failed in one arts subject. She was shifted to SCB hospital, Cuttack, after her condition deteriorated.

Five hurt

Bhubaneswar: Five persons were injured, two of them critically, after a vehicle of ICICI bank overturned at Susov in Rajkishore Nagar police limits in Angul. The incident took place when the vehicle was returning to Bhubaneswar from Sambalpur. The injured were rushed to the VSS hospital in Burla.

Blackbuck

Bhubaneswar: A two-year-old male blackbuck was found dead near Bhetanai village at Aska forest range in Ganjam on Tuesday. Forest officials suspect infighting to be the reason behind the death. This is the second such incident in one month in the region.
