Balasore: Police arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly killing his 27-year-old spouse and seven-month-old daughter.

Markona Bazarsahi resident Narayan Roul had allegedly set his spouse and daughter on fire due to non-fulfilment of dowry demand.

The police recovered the deceased's bodies on Tuesday afternoon.

Simulia police station inspector-in-charge Sanjay Kumar Parida said Narayan and Sanjita Behera had got married five years ago.

Their elder daughter was in her relative's house when the incident took place.

Narayan is also having an extra marital relationship, said the police.
