Schoolchildren dress up as lord Krishna and Radha during Janmashtami celebrations in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Janmashtami, which marks the birth of lord Krishna, was celebrated with gaiety and religious fervour all across the state. Festivities began early morning with devotees flocking to various temples to offer prayers. The Iskcon Temple and Ram Mandir witnessed a huge footfall.

In Kandhamal, the festival was celebrated amidst tight security. Children dressed up as Radha and Krishna at various schools. Huge rush was witnessed in Puri as well.
