Bhubaneswar, June 4: The Koustav Group of Institutes, which runs the Koustav Institute of Self Domain and the College of Engineering Bhubaneswar, today clarified that they have obtained the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approval for their engineering courses for the 2013-14 academic year.
Reacting to a news report published in these columns on June 3 titled “82 technical colleges get AICTE approval”, the authorities of the institutes said they had received the extension of approval from AICTE on April 29 for the 2013-14 academic year.
Their name also features in the latest list of AICTE approved engineering colleges, they said.
The Telegraph report was based on a letter sent on May 28 by the OJEE chairman to the department of technical education.
The letter had enclosed a list of colleges whose names were not on the AICTE approved list for 2013-14.
The institutes had figured in that list.
