Jobs rain at B-school

The students of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, recorded 100 per cent placements this year.

Bhubaneswar, March 6: The students of the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, recorded 100 per cent placements this year.

Radhika Sarda, who hails from Latur in Maharashtra, bagged the highest salary this year. She is also a chartered accountant. "I won the best project competition during my internship with Godrej, which had 44 interns from business schools all over India. I was immediately offered the job," said Radhika. She has been offered Rs 20 lakh per annum by Godrej Property for her operations profile.

The average salary offer for XIMB students this year stood at Rs 12.44 lakh per annum. While companies, such as Amazon, Deloitte, Arcesium India Private Limited, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Tata Consultancy, Godrej, Tata Steel, L&T, SBI Capital Markets and Idea were the major recruiters, a few new companies also hired students

In the FMCG sector, CalvinKare Private Limited & GCMMF (Amul) and agri companies such as United Phosphorus Limited rolled out offers in sales and marketing profiles. A significant number of students also opted to work in grassroots organisations and development sector companies such as Rajeevika, Care India, and Jharkhand State Livelihoods Promotion Society.
