Good job
Releasing the results today, higher education minister Pradeep Panigrahi congratulated the CHSE for bringing out the results on time.
The council was doubtful about bringing out the results on time as teachers had gone on strike and refused to cooperate with the evaluation process.
The standoff had continued for a week, bringing the process to a standstill.
Despite the repeated requests of the council and the ministers, the teachers refused to budge. It was only on April 9 that the teachers finally joined the duties. "We appreciate the efforts of the council, that has despite the hardships, been able to declare the results in time," the higher education minister said.
Re-check process
Students who want to their answer scripts and marks re-checked, can apply to the council within 15 days from today. Explaining the process, council chairman Basudev Chattoi said that students, who apply for rechecking or re-addition of marks in any paper(s), would get an SMS alert and an email link to download a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book.
The student has to download the valued answer book and if there is any grievance in respect to addition of marks, the applicant may bring it to the notice of the controller of examinations in writing for necessary action at the council level.
"Students are advised to apply for rechecking or re-addition as early as possible without waiting for the last date not only to get their results early, but also to avoid late hour rush. Under no circumstances complaints regarding rechecking / re-addition shall be entertained after the due dates. As there is a provision for supply of valued answer book through the re-addition process, no RTI application/ queries for supply of answer book will be entertained," he said.
Rechecking and re-addition of marks will be restricted to checking whether all the answers have been examined and that there has been no mistake in adding up marks.
To get the facility, a student will have to pay Rs 200 for each paper.
