Former director, Doordarshan, Rabindranath Mishra, who will direct the film, said: "We are hopeful to make the film by the end of 2018. Many eminent personalities of the state, including former chief secretary Ajit Tripaty and Prafulla Tripaty, are also assisting in the project."

Rabindranath said: "Once the script is ready, we will select the best of actors, who can play the characters. No compromise will be made on that."

Researcher Prafulla Tripathy said: "Jaydev has brought laurels for Odisha. This is a move in that direction."
