One killed

Berhampur: A liquor trader from Bada Khairakhama village in Ganjam district, Meghana Dangua, was shot dead by criminals on Mundula-Sradhapur road on Friday. The deceased’s uncle lodged a police complaint, alleging that rival traders had killed him. The police have arrested two persons. 

Explosives

Phulbani: Police on Saturday seized explosives and other material related to Maoist propaganda following a combing operation at Dangarijori hill forest in Kandhamal district. Acting on a tip-off about the presence of around 30 Maoists in the area, the force began the operation.
