Cuttack: Police on Monday busted a gambling racket at Nehrupalli and arrested 13 persons.
A team of Chauliaganj police raided the Mahanadi riverbed near Nehrupalli on Monday and found many playing cards for money.
The raids followed a tip-off about illegal gambling at the site organised by local goons.
"Thirteen persons were taken into custody and Rs 25,597 in stake money was seized," Cuttack deputy commissioner of police Akhileswar Singh said.
