Cuttack, Sept. 13: Eminent painter Jatin Das interacted with the students of Ravenshaw University and gave them a glimpse into the world of art.
Das delivered an extramural lecture at Heritage Hall in the university last Friday.
According to the painter, art was not confined to painting or sculpture. He said that all our daily chores could be counted as art.
“There is beauty in everything we do with interest. From cleaning utensils to studying with keen interest, anything that keeps the mind busy unconsciously is art,” he said.
Students shot a number of questions at the painter during the interactive session and Das gladly answered them all.
“It was an amazing experience to interact with such an eminent artist. His views about different aspects of life was extremely inspiring for me,” said Sweta Sharma, a student.
This extramural lecture of Das is part of a series of interactive discussions with noted personalities from different walks of life, said Lekhashri Samantsinghar, the varsity official who conducted the event.
