Tengakhat up

Duliajan: Tengakhat Sports Association edged out Food Corporation of India, Guwahati, 3-1 through a tiebreaker in the inaugural match of the second OIL Challenge Gold Cup football meet at Nehru Maidan on Friday. OIL senior executive S.N. Borah inaugurated the meet as chief guest. Assam Rifles will take on Sikkim XI and YAC, Manipur, will clash with SAI Guwahati on Saturday.

Ranji tie

Guwahati: Assam will meet hosts Kerala in their third match of the Ranji Trophy Plate Group-A at Palakkad from Saturday. Assam have seven points while Kerala have culled only two points so far.

Lifters’ camp

Imphal: The Manipur Weightlifting Association has invited 29 men and women weightlifters, including Olympian N. Kunjarani Devi, for the first phase of coaching beginning Thursday for the National Games in Guwahati.

Paddlers team

Imphal: Ten paddlers have been named to represent Manipur in the 68th Junior National Table Tennis Championship in Cuttack from December 25 to 30.
