Guwahati, Jan. 13: Santipur Athletic Club thrashed City Cricket Club by 104 runs in a league match of the Madhab Ram Bora GSA “A” Division Cricket Championship at Nehru Stadium here today.
Santipur were restricted to 184 for six wickets in the stipulated 35 overs. Rajib Kalita topscored with 67. For City Cricket Club, off-spinner Ashok Talukdar took two for 17.
Chasing a target of 185, the City team were bundled out for a paltry 80 in 20 overs. Spinner Tauhid Ali Talukdar took four for 19 while Rajib Kalita scalped three for 17 runs.
