SAI's talent hunt begins

Imphal, Sept. 24: The Sports Authority of India’s regional centre here has revived its talent search camp after four years at Khuman Lampak sports complex.

The SAI will pick up 300 talented youngsters between 14 to 18 years of age for advanced training in football, taekwondo, wrestling, boxing, archery and weighlifting.

Of the 386 participants in the Imphal camp, which began yesterday, 270 have applied for football. The director-in-charge of SAI regional centre, S. Tiken, said that it has been training 600 players in 19 disciplines.
