3 rebels held

Dhemaji, June 17: Three cadres of Liberal Democratic Council of Mising Land, New Kumar Kutum, Gobinda Pegu and Harish Pegu, were arrested from here last night for serving demand notes of Rs 20,000 each to a junior engineer of Mising Autonomous Council and two other persons in Gogamukh.

Road mishap

Tinsukia: Guna Borah, 50, who was riding pillion on a motorcycle, died on the spot after the two-wheeler was hit by a pick-up truck on National Highway 37 under Tinsukia police station on Saturday.
