The construction of the two bridges, both 410 metres, under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana 2018-19, will be started soon over Singra and Kornoi rivers in Balijhar and Kalyanpur villages by Tech Point Engineers at Rs 11 crore.

The activists showed black flags to Oja’s convoy at Balijhar and Nagarbera.

The activists also shouted slogans against the Act and the BJP. The MP said, “Everyone has their democratic right to protest but protests cannot ensure development.”

Along with Oja, Congress MLA of Boko Nandita Das and former AGP legislator Jyoti Prasad Das took part in the ceremonies.
