Agartala: Advocate Arindam Lodh on Monday became the third serving judge of Tripura High Court. He was sworn in by Chief Justice Ajay Rastogi.
Justice Lodh told reporters that he would try his best to deliver justice and uphold the rule of law. The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Justice Shubhasish Talapatra, government and high court officials and a host of advocates.
Justice Lodh started practice as a counsel in 1988 and served as central government counsel for railways in 2004.
He also served as assistant solicitor general at the high court for a brief period. The Centre selected him as senior panel counsellor in 2011. Earlier this year, his candidature was approved by the Supreme Court collegiums to be a high court judge.
