Boy dies in road accident

A 13-year-old boy died on the spot after being knocked down by a bus (AS-01 N/5634) at Ulubari on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Surinder Sharma.
Police have arrested the bus driver, Krishna Das, and a case has been registered at Paltan Bazar police station.

Interaction

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi will inaugurate an interactive session on the city?s masterplan at the Assam Administrative Staff College on Wednesday. The function is organised by the Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority.

Body found

Police recovered the body of 38-year-old Bubul Nath from a rented accommodation at New Guwahati Bank Colony on Tuesday. Multiple stab wounds were found on his body. He was the husband of Anju Kalita Nath, a GMC councillor of ward 8.

Children?s Day

Agragamee Society, a local NGO, celebrated Children?s Day with the students of Hahara MV School at Sonapur on Monday.

Album release

Mok Bujiba Jidina, a compilation of old and new romantic songs by J.P. Das, was released by poet and lyricist Keshab Mahanta at a recently-held function.The album has been produced by NRL Productions, Guwahati.

Rural schemes

The Council for Advancement of Peoples? Rural Technology has decided to chalk out a model for rural development in the Northeast, with a focus on market-oriented schemes involving different NGOs.

Management

A seminar on global management styles was organised by the Darwin School of Business on Monday. The changing trends of management styles adopted by the corporate houses were discussed in the seminar.

Examinations

The MA/MSc/MCom previous examinations, 2005, under Gauhati University will be held in December. The last dates for submission of completed forms and fees is November 30 (without fine) and December 5 (with fine).
