Nagaon: Three men raped and set a Class V student on fire at Batadraba Lalungaon under Batadraba police station in Nagaon district on Friday evening.

According to police, the accused, including two teenagers, raped the girl when she was alone at home and later doused her with kerosene and set her on fire.

Local residents found the girl in a critical condition and admitted her to Nagaon civil hospital with the help of the police. Her condition is critical.

A source said of the three accused, the police caught the two teenagers, Rahul, 16, and Imdadul, 17. The third, Jakir Hussain, 21, is absconding.

This is the second gang rape reported in the district in the past week. Last Friday, eight persons had gang raped a woman in a jungle. All the accused were caught the next day.
