Why Club City?

If crisp golden dosas tops your list of light bites, Club City is a must visit destination simply for the sheer variety it offers. The joint is a part of a leading chain of food outlets in the country and the first in the Northeast.

Located at Divine Plaza on G.S. Road near Dispur super market, Club City is divided into three sections — Dosa Plaza, Shanghai Post and Chillzzz — under the same roof.

Service

The eatery remains open from 11am to 11pm. The service is prompt with a staff strength of six. Sandeep Mitra, the owner of the franchisee of the Guwahati chain of Club City, said after placing an order, a customer is served within 15 minutes.

First impression

Situated on the fourth floor of Divine Plaza, the eatery’s interiors spell comfort. The décor has been done implementing modern concepts. Efforts are being made to provide a club- like ambience at the joint. Care has been taken to ensure a clutter-free environment.

On the menu

If you want to sample authentic Chinese cuisine, Shanghai Post is the section you should head for. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Chinese delicacies are available here. Starting from Shanghai soups to Shanghai special chopsuey, one is spoilt for choice.

Dosa Plaza offers a mind-boggling variety of dosas. Here one can take his pick from an amazing range of 104 dosas. This section of the eatery offers staple south Indian fare along with dosas cooked in Chinese, Mexican and Italian style. Schezwan dosa, American chopsuey dosa, salad roast dosa, red chilli dosa and spring roll dosa are specialities of the joint.

Chillzzz allows one to indulge in refreshing mocktails and shakes. This section also offers sinful desserts to pamper one’s sweet tooth.

Variation

The eatery dishes out pork delicacies keeping in view the local taste. Mitra said people of Guwahati love pork and hence the menu includes Chinese items made of pork.

Minus point

People from prime areas like Panbazar, Fancy Bazar, Chandmari and Ulubari may find it tiring to visit the eatery because of the distance.

What’s new?

The joint will organise food festivals at regular intervals. An eating competition will be held where prizes will be given. Celebrities will be invited to join food lovers on every festival.

Postscript

The eatery is a good place to visit with friends and relatives in tow to enjoy various cuisine in a cozy ambience.
