A24’s next looks like a winner

The studio behind pathbreaking films like Lady Bird, Moonlight, Uncut Gems and Minari has a new country horror flick up its sleeve and it already has our attention. A24 just dropped a trailer for Ti West’s upcoming film X which stars Suspiria star Mia Goth, Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow and rapper Kid Cudi. The film seems to balance several genres at once, from slasher horror to vintage erotica and behind-the-scene documentary. West has previously helmed episodes of the Scream anthology and was also a part of the directing team for Fox's Wayward Pines.
The film takes place in 1979 and follows a group of young filmmakers who’re trying to shoot an adult film in a remote Texan farmhouse, owned by a reclusive, elderly couple. Things go south when night falls and their hosts reveal their true colours.
