A beloved Wong Kar-wai romance just dropped on Mubi

The stunning 4K restoration of Wong Kar Wai’s award-winning 1997 queer romance Happy Together just dropped on Mubi India. In collaboration with the Criterion Collection, Wong Kar-Wai and L'Immagine Ritrovata spent five years on the 4K restoration of a few of the director’s masterpieces, including Chungking Express, Fallen Angels, In the Mood for Love and Happy Together.
Happy Together follows a couple from Hong Kong to Argentina, as they travel in search of a new beginning, but instead find themselves drifting even further apart. The film was nominated for the Palme d'Or and won Best Director at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival snd stars Leslie Cheung, Tony Leung and Chang Chen.
