With the internet going gaga over Wes Anderson’s signature aesthetic, now is an opportune time to revisit one of Fantastic Mr. Fox, his first animated film. The film, which Prime Video recently brought to MUBI, is adapted from Ronald Dahl’s 1970 children’s novel of the same name, with Anderson giving it his classic surreal twist.

Following the consequences of Mr. Fox’s thefts haunting his family and community, the film is wholesome and lighthearted entertainment for the entire family. If not anything else, watch it to get a new perspective on stop-motion animation, with a world that completely immerses you.
