Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Vikings: Valhalla, the much-anticipated spinoff of the popular historical drama Vikings which concluded a six-season run last year. The show is set in the 11th century, almost 100 years after the original series and chronicles the fall of the Viking era.
Valhalla is helmed by Vikings showrunner Michael Hirst and follows the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter).
“As tensions between the Vikings and the English royals reach a bloody breaking point and as the Vikings themselves clash over their conflicting Christian and pagan beliefs, these three Vikings begin an epic journey that will take them across oceans and through battlefields, from Kattegat to England and beyond, as they fight for survival and glory,” reads Netflix’s official synopsis.
Vikings: Valhalla premieres February 25 on Netflix.
