Looking for melody with a dash of mayhem? The trailer of Netflix’s upcoming film, Qala promises all of this and more. It chronicles the life of a young singer and her turbulent relationship with her mother in 1940s Kolkata. Starring Tripti Dimri, Swastika Mukherjee and Babil Khan, the clip hints at the struggles of show business and the commodification of artistes, while questioning if the success is worth the pain. Set to stream on December 1, this one promises to be a rollercoaster of emotions.
