Every kid wanted to befriend Willy Wonka after reading Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and even more so after watching the 2005 Tim Burton film.

Its musical spin-off, Wonka, starring Timothee Chalamet as the titular character is finally out in theatres, and the film is every bit of a tasty treat as its trailers promised. Set before the events of the original, the film follows the life of a younger Wonka, who is an aspiring magician and chocolatier, trying to make it through the challenging chocolate industry, with the dream of setting up his own factory. Critics are already praising Chalamet’s standout performance, aided by Keegan-Michael Key, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman and Hugh Grant. Watch it in theatres now!
