Paramount + has released the official trailer for The Offer, the upcoming miniseries, starring Miles Teller, that pulls back the curtain on the making of one of the most iconic films in cinema history — The Godfather.
Set in the early 1970s, The Offer stars Teller as producer Albert S. Ruddy and Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola (Dan Fogler). The drama mini-series will feature several other real-life characters like Mario Puzo (played by Patrick Gallo), gangster Joe Colombo (Giovanni Ribisi), and Barry Lapidus (Colin Hanks). The trailer shows Ruddy assembling the creative team for the film, as he has to battle it out with the producers and real-life mobsters to be able to make The Godfather.
The Offer has been developed by Michael Tolkin, who is best known for the satire novel The Player. Several episodes will be directed by Rocketman helmer Dexter Fletcher.
