Poila Boisakh will be extra festive this year, as Eken Babu is returning to the big screen with his unparalleled skills of deduction and sense of humour. In what promises to be a memorable tribute to Satyajit Ray’s Sonar Kella, The Eken — Ruddhaswas Rajasthan’s trailer shows the investigative trio solving a mystery in the desert, after a vacation goes horribly wrong. Based on a story by Sujan Dasgupta, the film will bring back Anirban Chakrabarti as the bhodro Bangali sleuth, and the trailer hints that the franchise’s second instalment will double the thrill and the laughs.
