If you think it’s too soon to joke about the pandemic, Hollywood may not agree with you. Judd Apatow’s newest directorial venture looks like a gripping, self-aware comedy about the anxieties of filming a movie in the middle of a raging pandemic. The Bubble, starring Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal and Fred Armisen, is reportedly inspired by the real-life production of Jurassic World: Dominion, which faced a slew of numerous pandemic-related challenges that made it impossible for the cast to leave the UK for months.

The film features Gillan, Pascal, Armisen playing the lead actors in an action film franchise. The cast gets stranded at a hotel overseas after the pandemic halts production. The ensemble cast also stars David Duchovny, Leslie Mann, Iris Apatow, Maria Bakalova, Keegan-Michael Key, Peter Serafinowicz and Vir Das and Rob Delaney.
