The Oscar-nominated, motion-picture film The Polar Express is one of the most watchable Christmas movies and its appeal has only grown over the years. Based on Chris Van Allsburg's children's book of the same name, the film follows a 12-year-old boy aboard a train called The Polar Express that's headed to the North Pole. The boy who doesn't believe in the existence of Santa Claus meets several other children during his journey and eventually meets Santa himself.
The film reflects on the themes of self-discovery and faith and makes a point about holding on to the essence of childhood. Tom Hanks was praised widely for his voice acting. The actor voiced the characters of the conductor, the boy's father, the hobo, Scrooge Puppet and Santa. The Polar Express is available to stream on Amazon Prime.
