December is the month of Christmas movies, and Home Alone is one of the most heartwarming classics of the season. With yet another addition to the franchise (Home Sweet Home Alone), now is a perfect time to rewatch the original.

Home Alone remains as entertaining in 2021 as it was during its release in 1990. There are numerous reasons to watch this fun movie — from the endearingly cute Macaulay Culkin as Kevin McCallister, to the notorious and bumbling thieves Harry and Marv, played by Pesci and Daniel Stern. Directed by Chris Columbus, the film’s 100 minute-plus runtime is an absolute joyride with Kevin’s childlike yet devilish scheming, Harry and Marv’s antics, and all the family feels. The score only adds to the Christmas cheer. Snuggle up with a cuppa, better is it’s hot chocolate, and brighten your Sunday. Available on Disney Plus Hotstar.
