House of the Dragon wraps up its first season today!

And the finale promises to ghastly, gory and gruesome — in true blue Game of Thrones style

House of the Dragon, the prequel to Game of Thrones, wraps up its first season today! Set 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen, the show retells the tale of the Dance of the Dragons aka the civil war between the Blacks and the Greens that tore down House Targaryen. The finale’s trailer gives us a glimpse into what’s to come and it’s as ghastly, gory and gruesome as one can expect. 

Gear up for Rhaenys and  Rhaenyra formally aligning loyalties against the Greens, Alicent struggle through her love for Rhaenyra, the Iron Throne and her sense of duty, Aegon and Daemon put Blackfyre and Dark Sister (the two Valyrian swords) to use, a battle in the skies between Lucerys on Arrax and Aemond on Vaghar and a cliff-hanger like never before! 

Is this finale going to be as shocking as the Red Wedding? Here’s hoping.
